This is a unique and fascinating set of German World War I proof off-metals struck in zinc. They were authenticated and certified by NGC. They are not listed in any reference book, including Schaaf, KM or Beckenbauer.

They are not patterns with different designs. They were struck in proof on zinc planchets using the official adopted design for both the obverse and reverse.

There is only one other German 3 Mark struck in zinc which is a 1914 3 Mark Hamburg graded NGC AU 50. Also, there were no Wurttemberg 5 Mark coins struck in 1914. This unique set is for the advanced collector of German coins or a collector of unique coins.
