A very rare modern (1969) 1 troy ounce gold medallic issue unpublished by Huszar, Krause or Friedgerg. With an extremely low mintage of 100, this is a unique double struck one ounce gold coin. It was issued by the Hungarian National Committee.
It has a composition of .900 gold and a weight of 31.33 grams (one troy ounce gold). Struck on a highly polished planchet, this unique double struck gold coin exhibits prooflike mirror surfaces and a cameo portrait. The coin rotated between the two strikes with doubling clearly visible on the reverse.
Double struck one ounce gold coins are extremely rare due to high quality control and careful production.
