Although there are quite a few known Franklin Half Dollars struck on Silver Quarter planchets, multiple errors on Franklin Dollar off metals are very rare. This Franklin Half Dollar was not only stuck on a Silver Quarter planchet but was also 25% off-center as well. In addition, it has a 60% incuse brockage on the reverse.
A Franklin Half Dollar with three major errors is virtually unheard of. The pressure from the brockage on the reverse and from not being positioned properly in the collar expanded the size of this coin to nearly that of a regular half dollar size.
