Although there are ten to fifteen double struck Liberty Head Nickels known, most are very circulated and/ or damaged. This Unique Liberty Head Nickel major mint error has 2 striking errors and is in choice mint state condition.

It's the only know Liberty Head Nickel that was indented between the strikes. Almost every indent occurs during the first strike. But this error occurred when an already struck coin remained in the collar, a blank entered off-center over this struck coin, subsequently was struck again, with the blank creating a 40% indent. A spectacular multiple mint error on a early U.S type coin.
