1989-D Lincoln Cent

This is an extremely rare transitional major mint error. In 1989 the Denver Mint struck this Lincoln Cent on a pre-1983 copper Cent planchet. It is a transitional since it should be on a copper-zinc planchet.

I also handled a 1989-D Lincoln Cent double struck on a bronze planchet that was featured on a cover of Mint Error News Magazine.
