1944 Walking Liberty Half Dollar
40% Off-Center
ANACS VF 20
SOLD

slab

This is the farthest off-center Walking Liberty Half Dollar known. It is struck a full 40% off-center at K-12. It was obviously carried around as a pocket piece and shown off, which would account for the grade.

Off-center Walkers are extremely rare. There are a handful known that are 5%-10% off-center and a few more that are broadstruck. This piece has no equals and is one of the most spectacular Mint Errors that I've ever handled.
