1805 Draped Bust Quarter
Double Struck

PCGS AU 50

Major Mint Errors on Draped Bust Quarters are very rare. This Draped Bust Quarter, which was double struck in the collar and rotated, is unique for the date. It is almost uncirculated, has considerable luster and has a light golden toning evenly distributed on both sides. The second strike was rotated in the collar and obliterates much of the design from the original strike. There is still detail visible on both sides from the original strike.

The Draped Bust Quarter was an extremely short lived type coin, and this Double Struck Mint Error is a true rarity for the series
