Mercury Dime Obverse Die Cap

This is a Unique Mercury Silver Dime Cap. The reverse die was the hammer die. It is a very deep dish cap, which capped the die and struck many coins. The reverse is an incuse brockage impression of the reverse design. The detail was distorted as the cap took the shape of the obverse die.
This is an extremely rare type error and belongs in the finest collection.
