1964 Lincoln Cent
Struck on 2.3g Clad Dime Planchet
Transitional Off-Metal
PCGS MS 65
SOLD
This is one of the rarer types of
transitionals because it is also an off-metal on the wrong denomination.
In 1964 U.S. Dimes were struck in Silver, not in a clad composition. In addition to being a Lincoln Cent struck on a Dime planchet it is also on a composition that Dimes were struck in starting in 1965. Extremely rare.

Transitional Errors are featured in my
NLG Award winning book,
World's Greatest Mint Errors.
