slabblankslab

This Weimar Republic 3 Mark was struck at the Berlin Mint. It was broadstruck out of the collar and expanded in diameter. German 3 Mark major mint errors, whether from the German Empire (1873-1918) or the Weimar Republic (1919-1933), are extremely rare.

This is just one of four known broadstruck German 3 Marks known. It would be perfect for inclusion in a mint error collection or a collection of German coins.

This broadstruck German 3 Mark is pedigreed to Ron Guth. He is a consultant to Mint Error News, the former PCGS President, and founder of CoinFacts (now PCGS CoinFacts). Ron is a world renowned expert on German coinage and kept this broadstruck 3 Mark in his personal collection for over a decade.
