This is a unique, spectacular and dramatic pair of Belgium Franc die trials struck in SILVER. These are obverse and reverse die trials from testing the die for 1904, which was the first year of issue. The silver planchet that was selected is larger in diameter than the silver planchet used for the regular issue. These were broadstruck on larger planchets and have a uniface reverse. This is an exciting and unique numismatic rarity appealing to collectors of test strikings, patterns, die trials and mint errors.
